Thirty years ago a group of Patrick County interviewed over 100 of their fellow citizens creating the
Patrick County Oral History Project, which is house in the Special Collections Department of the Carol M.
Newman Library at Virginia Tech (Tom Perry’s alma mater) in Blacksburg, Virginia. These tapes are in the
process of conversion to digital format. Tom Perry donates all profit from the sale of this guide to that effort.
This guide in 100 pages contains lists of those interviewed, subject index and information on how to use the
material at Virginia Tech and the Patrick County Branch of the Blue Ridge Regional Library.
